Education
MFA, Theater The Old Globe / University of San Diego · 2010

How the MFA Shows Up

The MFA in classical theater isn't a quirky footnote. It's the foundation for everything I do as a producer. I learned to act, direct, and write. Shakespeare turned out to be excellent preparation for directing a venture capitalist on camera or giving notes to a roomful of writers. I learned to read and edit text, which is why I story edit scripts and write copy myself. I learned to collaborate under impossible deadlines with people who care deeply about the work, which is the job description for every role I've held since.

BA, Theater (Acting) Christopher Newport University · 2007

Magna cum laude.
